Research Stay at the University of Padua - Summary

From 14 to 20 May 2026, a four-member delegation of our Center completed a research stay at the Department of Public, International and EU Law of the University of Padua (Dipartimento di Diritto pubblico, internazionale e comunitario, Università degli Studi di Padova). The team consisted of Prof. Maria Boratyńska and PhD candidates Aleksander Wiaderek, Krzysztof Ślaski and Michał Kropiwnicki.

The stay was devoted primarily to comparative research on Italian and Polish law in the field of medical law, with particular attention to its civil and criminal law aspects. The programme included academic discussions and scholarly exchange with staff of the University of Padua on issues within the broadly understood field of medical law, as well as bibliographic research at the library of the University of Padua. The stay was made possible by the support of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) programme.

Following the March stay in Siena, the visit provided another opportunity to compare the solutions adopted in the Polish and Italian legal systems and to establish contacts for further academic cooperation.
